Ben's Adventures in Eating

This boy hasn't turned away anything I've given him. He does make a funny face with peaches. Once or twice the sourness of them has even made him tear up a bit. Following are a few cute pics of his messy little face, and other times...

This was Ben's first trip to Red Lobster. Although he's not messy here, or eating anything in the picture, it was his first time trying a Cheddar Bay Biscuit. He just had a tiny bite, but enthusiastically liked it.

This is breakfast not too awful long ago. I think it was bananas.

This and the following are some good ones of Ben and prunes. He loves 'em. Go figure.

Notice the foot. It's never far away from the "dashboard."

Congrats to B and Ashly!

Bryan and Ashly finally got their new apartment and are moving in this weekend! Ben and Mommy went to visit and drop off a housewarming gift. We also got to meet Ashly's parents, Donna and Tom! Sadly, Mommy didn't get the camera out, but Ben had loads of fun. He laughed for everyone, and even smiled at Uncle B. The problem comes when B tries to hold him, then for some strange reason, he cries (Ben, not Bryan). Either way, happy housewarming!

P.S. Here is a picture of Ben's first tooth. Things are hard to see, so I circled it for you! This was taken on Thursday, the day that his 2nd one was working it's way through. Now he has 2! One of these days, we'll get a good picture of 'em.

Easter Weekend

MacKenzie and Dylan came up and spent Ben's first Easter Weekend with us. We watched some TV, played Risk, colored eggs, and had an Easter egg hunt. The first couple pics were before the weekend. They were just really cute and thought everyone would like to see them. After that, Angie showed me this new slide-show thing. I'm trying it for Easter because I had so many good pictures to post. Enjoy the music.

I risked waking Ben up, but I had to take this picture. It was so sweet.

On Friday Ben and I took a walk up the street. We didn't make it far. It was cold, and our road goes uphill....

* The slide show was edited to stop the music. It was loud.

Break on Through to the Other Side

Well, this morning Ben woke up with a little sliver of a tooth broke through his gums. His bottom left tooth has come in! I can't get him to let me see it (aside from that first glimpse I managed after I felt it), let alone take a picture of it. One of these days, though...

In the mean time, I got a video (minus the sound) of Ben rolling in the floor. We were visiting Nan-nan and Pop-pop after they got back from their trip. Nan-nan wasn't feeling all that well, and so settled for being the videographer instead of playing with Ben. As a result, she said she didn't like the way she sounded, and removed the audio. But watch him go! I'll post up something else as soon as I get 'em uploaded from the video camera.

Ben's Date with Mamaw Kerr

Ben and Mamaw Kerr 3-12-08

Ben had a big day today. It's been way too long since we got to see Mamaw Kerr, so we took her to lunch at Gondolier with Aunt Angie and Abby. Ben and Abby both had a big time. Although I don't have a picture of it, he sat in a big kid "restaurant-style" high chair all by himself today with no help at all, and Abby ate a breadstick which she smeared all over the table. Then we went to Rutledge to check on Nan-nan and Pop-pop's animals, but that's later.

Ben enjoyed Mamaw's company.

He got kisses...

He smiled for the camera...

He laughed with Mamaw...

...and he held her hand the whole time.
(Do you notice the striking resemblance to cousin Dylan in this picture?)

After we took Mamaw back home, Aunt Angie and Abby accompanied us to Rutledge. Nan-nan and Pop-pop had to go out of town, so we went to check on the kitties and Sadie, the dog.

Abby went to play on the deck while Ben got a diaper change...

Then the camera caught her eye.

She's too pretty...

Good times and no naps were had by all (well, unless you count falling asleep in the car). Remarkably, the babies were still in wonderful moods, and I took us all for a ride around the yard and shore in the golf cart. For more pictures of that, you'll have to see if Abby posted any on her blog, since I was driving and didn't have the camera.

Peas Please Me

So last night Benjamin started his first veggie, peas. I wasn't sure how he'd take to them, but as you'll see about a minute into the video, he thinks they're alright.

Also, Happy 5 month Birthday, Ben!!
