Mahna Mahna

We have a discovered a new, and yet old, way of entertaining Ben. Mike is afraid he will never retrieve his laptop after this...

Ben and I watched this early this morning when he climbed up on my lap wanting cuddles. Later, after a nap, he was running around in the computer room saying, "menomenomenom." We watched this video over and over for a good half hour after lunch.

Fantastic February

Wow, it's been quite a while since I blogged! Instead of trying to play catch up, I'll just jump in where we are and give a quick summary of our goings on.

December: Christmas was fun, hectic, and all the other things that go with the holidays. Ben loved meeting his cousin Anna. He couldn't stop talking about the "baby!".

January: Largely uneventful except for the fact that Mike lost his job. That's mostly why it's been so uneventful. We stayed home trying to save money! =)

Current: Pop's dog, Sadie, finally got a clean bill of health after having had knee surgery. Ben has missed her so much over her 2 months of healing and not being able to play with her.

Sadie waits patiently for Ben...

but then goes in for the kisses!

Aunt Angie and Abby came for a visit, and we decided to go to the zoo! It was a nice day without too much breeze. The kids had fun and wore themselves, and their mommies out.

Ben and Abby wait patiently with "Hot Dog" (that's Mickey) while we get the truck loaded.

Ben finally gets to see a real life elephant. He loves looking at these in picture books.

The kids were mostly interested in each other, rather than the animals at the zoo.

...with the exception of the biggest bird they'd ever seen. Abby wanted down, so this is how we went about the zoo for a while. Abby was really good to hold onto the wagon and walk behind Ben.

Ben, on the other hand, wasn't content to hold my hand or walk beside Abby. We tried, but in the end, he had to ride.

You can see that Ben and Abby were quite comfy in the wagon. They finally figured out a way for them to both have their feet up, after a quick kick fight.

Back at Ben's house, there was much playing, running, loving, etc.

Then Abby tried to sit in Ben's seat, and he decided, "Me, too." They promptly fell over, but everyone was ok.

Ben and Mommy had so much fun that day, and we hope Abby and Aunt Angie did, too!
